Trio came to be when they were experimenting with a more easily-accessible Cabernet Franc blend than their Pasticcio, which is Cab Franc Dominant. About equal parts, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot, The Syrah gives this luscious, and very integrated wine a touch of strawberry and pepper while the Melot adds a long, smooth finish.  With so many blends containing Cabernet Sauvignon, Trio stands apart with its unique and oh-so-drinkable Carbernet Franc blend. Even those who aren't usually fans of Cabernet Franc find Trio delicious. 2009 was an excellent vintage and is getting better all the time.

Brambleberries, elderberries, red pepper and spices. Full body, juicy tannins and a medium-long finish. Showing well for a 2009. A blend of cabernet franc, merlot and syrah. Drink now.
