Sandhill built a name for itself for producing single-vineyard wines, particularly reds, in British Columbia’s Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys. But recently the winery has made a big splash with Rosé. This Rosé, made from Gamay Noir (65 per cent) and Merlot (35 per cent), is all about freshness and softness on the palate. Watermelon, pear, apple and rose petal aromas and flavours stand out in this pretty, off-dry pleaser.
Enjoy it as an aperitif, with a summer salad, white-fleshed fish, crab or a mildly spicy curry.
