Description:
The 2006 Pecchenino Barolo 'Le Coste di Monforte' is an Italian red wine hailing from the Barolo DOCG region in Piedmont. Produced by Azienda Agricola Fratelli Pecchenino, this wine is crafted entirely from the Nebbiolo grape, sourced from the Le Coste di Monforte vineyard. This vineyard, established in 2004, features 45-year-old vines situated at an altitude of 440 metres with a south-east exposure, planted in medium-textured soils rich in whitish marls. The grapes are harvested in the third week of October.
Sensory Profile
This Barolo presents a garnet red hue. The nose is rich and deep, offering aromas of hay, violet, tobacco, white pepper, wild mint, and liquorice. On the palate, it is robust with a taut, mineral finish. The tannins are dense yet silky and well-balanced.
