| The winery of Mas Amiel started with a bet: lost by a Bishop to engineer Raymond Etienne Amiel in 1816. 80 ha with 10 ha planted to vines, the Domaine de Goudous changed hands and the winery began as we know it today. Typically known for fortified wines, the AOC for dry wines was created in 2011. The Origine is made from grapes on 100 year old grenache vines, along with carignan and syrah. The wine is intense with aromas of plum and black cherry. On the palate, it expresses plenty of style and creamy consistency, combining black berry flavors with a hint of spice. Elegant and refined, this is a gorgeous expression of dry Maury wine. |
