Description:
The 2019 M by Michael Mondavi Family is a red wine from Napa Valley, California. This wine embodies the Mondavi family's dedication to excellence, showcasing the unique terroir of their estate vineyards and their commitment to sustainable viticulture.
Vineyard and Production
Sourced from a sustainably farmed, volcanic hillside vineyard located on the slopes of Atlas Peak, the vines benefit from rocky, well-drained soils that impart intensity and complexity to the fruit. The 2019 growing season featured ample rainfall and a warm summer with minimal extreme heat events, allowing for even ripening and the development of vibrant flavors. Harvested between October 17th and 25th, the grapes underwent fermentation in small lots to preserve their distinct character. The wine was aged for 21 months in French oak barrels, 75% of which were new, enhancing its structure and depth.

Serving and Pairing
To fully appreciate its complexity, decant the wine for at least an hour before serving at a temperature of 16-18°C (61-64°F). Its balanced acidity and robust structure also make it a suitable companion for hearty stews and grilled steaks.
