Saint-Julien appellation wines have an intense aromatic palette dominated by notes of blueberries, blackcurrants, licorice, and tobacco. Despite powerful tannins, these wines are refined and velvety and show good density on the palate. Usually made from young vines that later produce Château Lagrange, this wine seduces with its fruitiness and its more supple and less concentrated character than that of Château Lagrange, which allows it to reach its fullness earlier.
