2020 was an excellent year overall in BC wine country, and this pinot noir reflects it. The Estate Pinot Noir tops all Foxtrot labels, delivering a rich, sumptuous pinot that is mouthfilling and complex. The fruit originated from the Munro block of 25 year old own rooted clone 115 vines. The ferment included 29 percent whole cluster bunches and a skin contact period of 17-20 days preceded 14 months of barrel ageing in 25 percent new French oak, with the remainder stored in second fill and neutral oak barrels.

The nose has a pleasant floral demeanour that permeates a stony mineral undercurrent. Plenty of black cherry leads the way on the palate, dusted in desert scrub and spicy notes, including ginger. Built to age, this is a wine to cellar through 2025, allowing it to develop fully. Impressive.
