Santa Rita's Floresta Chardonnay 2020 is a distinguished white wine from Chile's Limarí Valley, a region celebrated for its exceptional Chardonnay production. This wine captures the unique terroir of Limarí, where alluvial soils and a cool, maritime-influenced climate contribute to its distinctive character.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Bright yellow with a golden sheen.
• Aroma: The nose presents green apple and creamed corn notes with hints of ginger cookie over a bed of cedar.
• Palate: Chalky and well-structured in the mouth, offering a refreshing flow that leads to a lingering finish with fruity and saline flavours.

Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo whole-bunch pressing to preserve their freshness and complexity. Fermentation is initiated with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then transferred to French oak barrels, 25% of which are new, where it undergoes periodic bâtonnage over eight months before blending, adding richness and texture.
