The 1884 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon spends eight months in 100% French oak, adding a bit of toast and spice while softening the edges of what is a savoury, dry red made for grilled meats. . The nose offers lovely aromas of cassis and vanilla with quite intense notes of mocha, baking spices and pencil shavings. The palate is supple and juicy; expect generous flavours of cassis, tea leaf, vanilla, sweet spice and graphite.
